Frequently Asked
Questions |
How does it work?
The climber is securely fitted into a harness and then begins
his ascent up the climbing wall. At the summit, the climber
simply pushes off the wall and abseils slowly and safely down
using the wall's fully redundant auto-belay system.
Who can use it?
For safety reasons, you cannot climb if you are pregnant, have a
back injury or any medical condition that could worsen from
climbing, or if you are under the influence of alcohol or
illegal drugs.
How long does it take to set
up the Mobile Rock Climbing Wall?
The set up time is approximately 20 minutes and can be done by
one person. The push button hydraulics make it quick and simple.
Are there different levels
of difficulty on the climbing wall?
Yes. The wall's design provides different levels of difficulty,
however, we make sure that the wall isn’t too difficult to
climb. The handholds can be easily moved and adjusted for any
combination or configuration.
What area is required?
If Extreme Air is to be used then an area of 20 x 10 metres is
required for the wall to be set up in, with a 9.5 metre height
clearance (not under power lines). If no Extreme Air is required
then area required for operation is considerably less – 5 x 10
metres.
What types of events can
this be used for?
Fairs, festivals, school carnivals, private parties, corporate
team building, company picnics, radio promotions, store sales,
parks and recreation events…this list is endless.
Is it noisy?
The Mobile Rock Climbing Wall has no noisy generator, no need
for power outlets, and does not pollute our environment. The
battery used to run the hydraulics and Climber Timers, charges
while in tow and will run up to several days without recharging.
